(*MINIMUM 4 NIGHT STAY) This family-owned cottage has been home to innumerable game nights, long chats on the deck and hot dog roasts on the beach. Birch Cove Cottage has had a major face lift; more than doubling its size while maintaining its homey feel. There is a new, state-of-the-art kitchen with an eat-in counter for guests who like to “visit” while the chef preforms his magic. The dining room opens into a spacious living area which in turn opens to the large ocean-front deck. Also on this level is a full bath with tub and shower.

The over-size Master bedroom takes full advantage of the ocean views of Birch Cove and has a king-size bed for added comfort. The second bedroom has a queen bed, while the third bedroom has two twins. The large bathroom on this level has a full-size shower. The house is fully equipped with everything required including fresh towels and linens.

There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer for added convenience. Newly built stairs makes for easy access to the oceanfront beach.

Built in 1830, Cory Cottage has the charm of a by-gone era while being luxuriously appointed with every modern amenity you could desire in a vacation property. The professionally remodeled and decorated interior is in keeping with a property formerly owned by Canada’s first woman interior decorator, Kate Reed. Cory Cottage is a 2-storey, Greek Revival style home with a bold color palette and partners well with the comfortable furniture and statement antiques throughout. It is, in essence, casual luxury at its best.

As a neighbor to the iconic Algonquin Resort, Cory Cottage is located within the historic town plat of the resort town of Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea. It sits amidst rolling lawns and gardens, which one can enjoy from its sunroom, private rear deck, or from the second-floor balcony. The balconies also offer lovely views of the ocean, which has attracted visitors to this resort town for centuries.

The property boasts four Master Suites, two of which are located on the main level and have private access to the gardens. Each of these bedrooms is equipped with an ensuite bath and custom shower. The other two Master Suites are located on the second floor – one with its own private, ocean-view balcony – and both have ensuite bathrooms with soaker tubs. There is also a third full bath on this level with an over-sized shower. Each of the bedrooms are furnished with superior queen-sized beds, quality linens and flat screen TVs, cable and access to WIFI.

The common areas are extensive including a large chef’s kitchen with a commercial six-burner gas stove, large refrigerator with glass front, ice-maker, washer/dryer, a center island for prepping food and all the small appliances you will need. There is a separate butler’s pantry with a wine fridge which can be used as a bar or for serving. There are two dining areas – a lovely formal dining room with a gas-burning fireplace and a smaller, more intimate alcove off the spacious living room that has gracious views of the garden. The living room also has a wood-burning fireplace for guests to enjoy on cooler days and evenings. There is a convenient half bath for guests on this level allowing for the bedrooms to remain private. Cory Cottage is the ideal property for a family retreat, a golf getaway, a wedding, or a gathering place for friends when you feel you deserve to be somewhere special.

You can immerse yourself in all that this beautiful seaside town has to offer, including golf, spa visits, an eclectic variety of restaurants, shops, and immersive day adventures. St. Andrews takes pride in its status as a National Historic District and is truly one of the loveliest destinations in the Maritimes. There is also a one-bedroom coach house located in Cory Cottage’s garden, which can be rented if you need a little extra space. (Sorry, this cannot be rented separately.) The coach house has a small kitchenette with a bar fridge, hot plate, a toaster oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The sitting room has a single cozy day bed and the private bedroom is fitted with a double-sized bed and opens to an ensuite bathroom with custom shower. There is a balcony out back with lovely views of the garden.
